T-Shirt - Parlour Suns | Music Review

Devon based pop and alternative rock band Parlour Suns have already released three singles this year! Having debuted their new sound with Embers, Figure It Out and What Else Can I Do Wrong?, the band are still taking over the local music scene! I’ve said before that these three singles received some of the highest praise I’ve ever given, and their newest track is definitely no exception!

The new track, titled T-Shirt, was released today and is a really strong addition to Parlour Suns’ already solid music archive. The recognisable sound of the previous three singles is there right from the start and links Embers, Figure It Outand What Else Can I Do Wrong? together well. With a personal story behind it involving a lack of loyalty in a relationship, T-Shirt manages to be another incredible track that really shows off just how talented the band are without taking away from the story behind it!

With that instantly recognisable Parlour Suns sound coming in right from the start, it’s clear that there’s going to be an infectious energy throughout the whole song. The catchy melody and clear lyrics only make it more difficult to not bop along to! I’ve already said that Parlour Suns are only capable of releasing amazing music and I'm starting to run out of ways to phrase how incredible their singles are!

The guitar features heavily in the single and is really shown off, giving it a similar sound to Embers which was released back in April. Harmonies that come in towards the start add a whole new layer to the track and are highly effective in making the single demand your full attention! It’s not one that can be played in the background quietly, it deserves to be on full volume! T-Shirt will definitely be a hit live, the energy and talent visible in the single will be impossible to ignore at a gig!

Overall, the single is captivating in every way and shows off the talent of each band member in a highly effective way. Parlour Suns have a really solid sound and have proven that they can sit alongside artists like Catfish and The Bottlemen, The Hunna and other big names with no problem at all. Keep an eye on Parlour Suns - these guys are special! If you haven't had the chance to see Parlour Suns play live, you’re in luck! Make sure to catch them at one of their headline shows this month!
