Travel photography is a more recent passion of mine, and is something I will continue throughout my career. Being able to capture and share memories and moments from places you don't get to see every day, and then remember them later is one of my favourite aspects of photography. I have photographed a few different places, but am definitely looking to expand my travel portfolio, as well as branch out into travel writing to sit alongside my photography. NEW YORK | USA

My second trip to New York was packed with a lot more exploring than the first, and was my first trip there with my Sony! Spending 10 days wandering around the city, photographing everything I see created an entirely different feel to my last trip there.

This time, I particularly enjoyed some of the quieter spaces, including The Ramble in Central Park, and Domino Park in Brooklyn just as much as the busier areas like Times Square and Rockefeller Centre.

Anyone who knows me knows that I have ALWAYS wanted to travel to Italy. In April 2023 I finally got to do it.

Of course, I took my camera and had the best time documenting what I saw in Italy.

LAKE COMO - ITALY

Bellagio, alongside Tremezzo, is one of the main tourist destinations on Lake Como. With breathtaking views across the lake to the mountains, and with a view down the right-hand leg of the lake, it sits at the heart of Lake Como.

The streets were full of people from all over the world, and many independent shops sell bespoke jewellery, street food and classic Italian cuisine.

The trip up to Bellagio included a cheap and scenic boat trip up the lake, which let us see so many more of the small and larger towns and villas dotted up the lake.

These included Torno, Lenno and Tremezzo, which was the set of Naboo in Star Wars.

THE DUOMO | APRIL 2023

On the final day of my trip to Italy, we decided to explore the centre of Milan. This included the breathtaking Duomo and the designer shopping centre.

Nothing could have ever prepared me for the sheer size of buildings with such intricate architecture and for so much opportunity in photographing them!

My trip to New York was the first time I'd been abroad properly, and my first time on a plane. Getting to see and photograph an entirely different way of life is what sparked my interest in travel photography.

The business of new york means there's always something going on, and therefore always a photo to be taken. Capturing just some of the quieter moments was a challenge I thoroughly enjoyed.
