Shooting promotional images for bands is one of my favourite parts of working in the music industry, listening to a new album or single, and basing an entire campaign series around what I'm hearing allows a level of creativity that I truly enjoy. Don't get me wrong I love the challenges of a strobe light at a gig, but there's something about the precision of a studio or the unpredictability of natural light that excites me every time I shoot. QUORUM - MAY 2021

A few weeks after completing my final assignment for my degree, I was asked by the band to shoot a series of promotional images for Quorum's new album, The Death Of Intellectual Success.

This shoot involved a LOT of lighting to get a pure background. That day I learnt just how much of a nightmare drum kits are for shadows!

BEHIND THE SCENES - MAY 2021

QUORUM

This shoot was split into two parts, and after I shot my studio series, the band also shot a music video. While this was happening, I shot a series of behind-the-scenes images o the production of the video.

This allowed me to bring a more fun and engaging side into a slightly more serious photo shoot, and to add some character to the entire shoot with a little bit of the fun we got up to behind the scenes.

PARLOUR SUNS - OCT 2021

In 2021, Parlour Suns underwent a rebrand. With an entirely new image, name and sound, they approached me to shoot a series of images to sit alongside the release of their rebrand.

These images were all shot in and around Plymouth and were all shot with natural light. The shoot gave me a great opportunity to play around with spacing and gave me good experience in shooting a series based on a band's sound alone.

QUORUM - JUL 2020

This was my first socially distanced shoot back after COVID restrictions and was a full day of shooting studio stills and behind-the-scenes for Quorum's new music video in a closed cinema.

This was the second time I had the opportunity to shoot behind the scenes for a video, but my first time being the head of the photography team. This is where I discovered my love of working alongside videographers, and have continued to shoot BTS content alongside my portraits ever since.

PLASTIC TRAMPS - JUL 2020

After a few months of COVID restrictions and a significantly reduced music industry, I was able to get back out there for one of my first socially distanced photoshoot post-restrictions.

This series of images was shot for FLARE Magazine, which I have been running since 2020, and accompanied a written review of the band's newest single.

QUORUM - FEB 2020

This was the first promotional studio shoot I ever did, and was where i discovered my love of coloured lights and shooting portraits.

This shoot was to go alongside the release of three new singles, and also involved shooting three covers for these singles.
